I couldn't believe the items they had there : lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, asparagus, bread, milk, soda, pasta etc! I almost took a picture to show you guys. I was so proud of what we got for $35! I'm certain it would have easily cost us double if not close to triple what we paid if we went to a regular grocery store.
I'm not saying it's for everyone and they don't have the greatest selection, but I'd recommend you check out what they do have. If you can save some money shopping here, it's worth looking into. Happy shopping!
Good Idea : Look for less expensive places to buy groceries... you may be pleasantly surprised!
Question : Where do you shop to cut corners? Have you tried to buy food from a non-traditional grocery store?
I do like dollar stores, but this made me laugh today..

99 cent store was a life saver for me years ago when I left my husband. I was on a very limited budget and my daughter was 7 at the time. I was able to nearly everything we needed there. The only things that I would not buy from there was meat, bread and milk.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks Niki :) That's so funny!
ReplyDeleteWe go to the Dollar General First. They have a decent selection (no fresh foods) but they save me a lot there!
ReplyDeleteAldi's is a winner for me. I am going to try the e-Mealz.com menu to save money. Right now I am using walmart, but I want to switch.
ReplyDeleteI shop at the Air force commissary and its not that much cheaper than regular grocery stores. I like to buy my toiletries and paper goods in bulk from costco.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen TLC's new show extreme couponing? It is so crazy to see someone pay $6.00 for $238.00 worth of groceries.
